The news of 9-1-1: Nashville star Isabelle Tate’s death at 23 shocked everyone, and the reason behind her untimely passing has finally been revealed.
Having only recently debuted in 9-1-1: Nashville and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University, the young actress tragically died on October 19, according to an obituary posted by a local funeral home.
So, what really went wrong that led to Tate’s death?
How Did Isabelle Tate Die?

Following the funeral home’s post, Tate’s talent agency, The McCray Agency, released an official statement on its Instagram Story.
There, it revealed that she died “peacefully” from “a rare form of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.”
“The family requests privacy as they deal with this sudden and shocking loss,” it continued.
According to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA), “CMT is a rare multisystem, multiorgan disease that causes lifelong, progressive symptoms, including muscle weakness and atrophy in the arms and legs, sensory loss, and other complications.”
These symptoms can vary and may cause difficulties with balance, walking, hand use, and other daily activities.
In Tate’s memory, the family has asked for donations to the CMTA in lieu of flowers, with the agency including a link for those who wish to contribute.
McCray also wrote a post on Facebook to honor Tate and announced her demise.
“We are deeply saddened and completely heartbroken to share that Isabelle Tate passed away on October 19th. She was 23,” it read. “I’ve known Izzy since she was a teenager and she recently returned to acting. She booked the first series she auditioned for, 9-1-1 Nashville. She had a wonderful time.”
Who was Isabelle Tate?

Born and raised in Nashville, Tate grew up in the Franklin community and graduated with a bachelor's degree in business.
According to her obituary, she wanted to change the world at a young age and become an actress. Thankfully, she managed to fulfill her dream by joining 9-1-1: Nashville.
In fact, she appeared in the show’s debut episode, which was filmed in June and aired on October 6.
In the series, Tate played Julie, a woman in a wheelchair who attended a strip show, where Hunter McVey's character, Blue, paid her special attention.
Aside from acting, she also loved volunteering, particularly with animals—her idea of a fun outing was visiting an animal shelter and “doling out lots of love.”
She was also passionate about music and wrote and recorded songs with friends, even publishing a few. While Tate had a disability, she never used it as an excuse.
“What she loved the most, though, was spending time with family and friends—always the life of the party,” the obituary read. “Her sister was her best friend, and her mom was her shining beacon of light.”
Tate is survived by her mother, Katerina Kazakos Tate; stepfather, Vishnu Jayamohan; father, John Daniel Tate; and sister, Daniella Tate.
We here at EpicStream send our deepest condolences to Tate’s family. May she rest in peace.
