When people fight fire with fire, Taylor Swift has her own way of plotting her revenge.

The Fearless hitmaker took the internet by storm on Tuesday with her new album announcement, leading fans to wonder if it was intentionally meant to diss longtime nemesis Kanye West. Here’s why fans thought so.

The title of Taylor Swift’s newest album is The Life of a Showgirl, and while that doesn’t send any alarming signals that it’s directed at Kanye, a fan on TikTok took things on a deeper level.

The TikTok post essentially showed what first comes up when they type “the life of” in the search bar on Apple Music, and guess whose song comes up first? Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo, which released in February 2016. But that’s not all.

Other fans swarmed the news and noted that the TS12 album cover also features orange tones, similar to Pablo’s!

“Am I going crazy, or did anyone else notice that??? And his album was orange … bye she’s perfect,” the TikToker wrote in the caption of the clip.

“MASTERMIND,” another commented, as it led another to gush, “She really is a mastermind and I love that about her lol.”

Do Kanye West and Taylor Swift Still Have Beef Since the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards?

The Swifties have been on the edge of their seats, hoping their Queen creator does something about her past feuds.

Considering the success Taylor faced after releasing Look What You Made Me Do, which featured past hates and commentaries about her image and music, what’s to stop her from repeating another classic move while bringing home awards for it?

Swift and West’s beef dates back to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, when Kanye infamously interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech for best female music video by taking the mic from the teenage country singer to say the award should’ve gone to Beyoncé.

Let’s not forget Kanye struck first when he added fuel to the fire when he name-dropped Swift in his 2016 track, Famous, which his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, alleged that the Folklore creator approved of.

Fans can hold their horses and wait until tracks for Swift’s 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, drop, and see if it matches the theories behind the beef.

For now, fans can check out Taylor’s website, which says orders for the vinyl record ship before October 13, 2025. Though there’s no official release date yet, it’s potentially around that time.
