Same Studio but Major Staff Changes for The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3
Kinema Citrus was the studio producing The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3, continuing after their work on all previous seasons.
After Shield Hero Season 2 was roundly criticised, the studio quickly announced staff changes for the third season.
In short, Kinema Citrus turned towards staff from their acclaimed psychological adventure series Made in Abyss.
Season 3 of The Rising of the Shield Hero was directed by Hitoshi Haga, who was the assistant director on Made in Abyss Season 2.
Interestingly, Haga became the third director for Shield Hero, with the first two seasons also having separate directors.
Kevin Penkin worked on the music for Shield Hero Season 3. Penkin provided the music for Shield Hero's first season but is more renowned for his excellent work leading the Made in Abyss soundtrack.
One thing that didn't change in Shield Hero Season 3's production, however, was the opening and ending song artists, which remained the same as in previous seasons.
MADKID returned once more to provide the opening theme with the new single SIN. Likewise, Shield Hero Season 3's ending theme came from Chiai Fujikawa, performing The Reason I Cannot Love You.
