James Gunn revealed that numerous A-list actors have approached him and expressed interest in playing Batman in the DCU.
Fans have been looking to see which actor the DC Studios will cast to play the DCU's Caped Crusader when he is introduced in The Brave and the Bold. While there have been several suggestions from fans online, some are also clamoring for Robert Pattinson's Batman from the Matt Reeves universe to be integrated into the DCU instead.
Which Actors Are Interested in Playing the DCU's Batman?

In a recent interview with IGN, Gunn revealed that many A-list actors have expressed interest in playing the role of Batman in the DCU.
He also shared that there might be changes to the origins of Bruce Wayne, and the plot remains "in flux" since the script for The Brave and the Bold is still being written.
"Some things have changed. Plenty of things are in flux on what his situation is with his parentage and all that stuff, so I wouldn’t take any of it – Yeah, I mean, the actor who wants to… Listen, first of all, I can’t tell you the amount of big actors that have told me they want to be Batman," the DC Studios co-chairman said.
"I think you’d have a harder time finding actors who don’t want to be Batman. He’s the one character everyone wants to play. That’s the truth."
Gunn didn't specifically name the actors who have expressed interest in playing the Caped Crusader in the DCU. He also did not provide a timeline for when they will conduct the casting for the role.
What to Expect in The Brave and the Bold
The Brave and the Bold, the launching movie for Batman in the DCU, is based on the comic series by Grant Morrison. It centers on Bruce Wayne as he teams up with his biological son, Damian, who takes on the Robin moniker.
The Flash director Andy Muschietti is attached to helm the film. While a script is currently being written, no details are available on which writer has been hired to work on the pages.
In the meantime, fans patiently wait for the Clayface movie, starring the fan-favorite Batman villain. It is currently in production and is set to be released in theaters next year.
