Katee Sackhoff's Bo-Katan Kryze notably became the defacto co-lead of the third season of The Mandalorian as the main storyline was focused more on her desire and attempt to reclaim the planet of Mandalore with the assistance of Din Djarin, Grogu, and the other Mandalorians.
There have been speculations for a while now that she will be taking over as the main lead of The Mandalorian, especially given how the third season ended and Pedro Pascal's soon-to-be very busy schedule next year.
So far, there has been no indication that Pascal's character is taking a major back seat in the next season, but some fans have believed that it could be the case despite reports saying otherwise.
Now, the actress is finally setting the record straight on the rumors and speculations about her character's future in the series.

Katee Sackhoff Reacts to Rumors of Replacing Pedro Pascal in The Mandalorian
In an interview with The Direct, Sackhoff addressed the rumors surrounding her character's taking over as the lead of The Mandalorian and replacing Pascal.
The actress clarified that her character was never going to be set as the lead of the series and called out the misinformation that has happened due to the numerous speculations online.
"No. I think there's always going to be a lot of speculation in this fandom. You know, I think it's one of the reasons why people love this fandom so much," Sackhoff said.
"And they love this universe so much that a lot of times it allows just enough ambiguity for people to interpret things the way that they want to interpret them. And out of that there is the ability to have a lot of misinformation get out, or just, you know, wishful thinking."
Sackhoff also explained that her prominent appearance in the third season was for story purposes of her character and the series will always be about Din Djarin at the end of the day.
"And I think in this situation, I think that the story of the Mandalorians and the story of Bo-Katan needed to be told, I don't believe in any way that it was taking away from Din [Djarin's] story, nor was that ever the intention," she added.
"And you know, Pedro and I aren't in charge of who gets to lead the show [laughs]. This is Din Djarin's show, it will always be Din Djarin's show."
This should clarify all the rumors and speculations surrounding Sackhoff's status in the series as we now have word from the actress herself that she won't be set up as the main lead in the coming season.
While she was prominently featured in the recently aired third season more than ever before, it doesn't mean that Din is no longer leading the series and we can still expect the titular character to be about him in the future.
Pascal's very busy schedule next year will not affect his character's future in the series and status as lead. After all, he can still do the role through voice work only like in the third season.
All three seasons of The Mandalorian are available to stream on Disney+.
