Warning: If you haven't seen the latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 3, this article contains major SPOILERS so read at your own risk!

There's been a lot of chatter surrounding Grogu and his ability to talk and the prospect of him finally uttering his first words in The Mandalorian has been highly speculated ahead of Season 3. While showrunners Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have in fact discussed the idea of the Force-wielding creature talking in the show, they're admittedly torn about whether or not they want to make it happen.

Well, Chapter 23 just gave Grogu a strange yet amusing way of communicating and it's probably the closest we'll get to him actually talking, at least until Favreau and Filoni decides to finally pull the trigger. The latest episode of the hit Star Wars series marks the return of the IG-11 droid which has been reprogrammed as "IG-12" thanks to the Anzellans.

Serving as a gift from Greet Karga to Din Djarin, IG-12 has been freed of its former memory circuit and now has several modifications, including a cockpit Grogu can sit on. It also allows Baby Yoda to communicate with people through a push of a button but the only downside is, it's only for questions answered by a "yes" or "no".

Although Din disapproves of Grogu piloting the droid, there's nothing he can do as the Child is already comfortable with his new toy. He then uses the droid's function to annoy Mando and it's the funniest thing the show has done in quite some time.

Meanwhile, the latter part of Chapter 23 saw Din get captured by Moff Gideon and it almost feels like a parallel to the second season when Grogu was the one captured. It's safe to assume that the Child will attempt to rescue his father figure with the help of the same droid that was responsible for their salvation in Season 1.

The Mandalorian Season 3's seventh episode is now streaming on Disney+.
