The Armorer has been a pivotal character in The Mandalorian since its first season and while she's served as Din Djarin's most valuable ally, Season 3 has been teasing a different direction for the character played by Emily Swallow. For weeks now, fans have grown increasingly suspicious of The Armorer's actions and most are convinced that she's hiding a deep dark secret.
Chapter 23 might have just proven that there's something truly up with her. In the latest episode, the newly-united Mandalorian tribes head to Mandalore in search of The Great Forge, a place synonymous with the Mandalorian civilization. There, they discover that there are still Mandalorians inhabiting the planet, almost operating as scavengers.
The said Mandalorians are in dire shape with some of them unfit for battle. As the team goes to the Forge, the injured ones were taken by The Armorer to the fleet and her timing is quite convenient because once she left Mandalore, that's when a beskar-armor-wearing Moff Gideon proceeded to attack.
You see, a lot of fans have been theorizing that The Armorer had a hand in helping Gideon escape his New Republic trial, and as revealed in Chapter 21, shards of beskar alloy were found in the ship meant to take him to Coruscant. The biggest giveaway is their horned helmets which almost look identical.

There's a strong possibility that The Armorer is in fact one of Gideon's allies and I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up revealing her true self in the finale. Given how she's gained the trust of the Mandalorians, it's easier for the Empire to eradicate them once and for all.
