Melania Trump, the current First Lady of the US, is not the slightest bit interested in gracing the cover of this fashion magazine in July. According to reports, Melania was keen on rejecting their request, considering she had other priorities to attend to.
Did Vanity Fair Really Want the First Lady on the Magazine Cover?

Vanity Fair's new global editorial editor, Mark Guiducci, reportedly wanted to place President Donald Trump's wife on the cover of Vanity Fair. However, one of the fashion magazine's staffers fiercely refused, as reported by Daily Mail: "I will walk out the motherf***ing door, and half my staff will follow me."
"We are not going to normalize this despot and his wife, we're just not going to do it," the unidentified staffer exclaimed, "We're going to stand for what's right."
They added, "If I have to work bagging groceries at Trader Joe's, I'll do it. If [Guiducci] puts Melania on the cover, half of the editorial staff will walk out, I guarantee it."
Despite the employee's strong claims, one employee protested, "It's all talk. If they put her on the cover, people will protest and gripe about it, but I don't see anyone quitting such a prestigious job over that."
The second employee added, "Honestly, there will be people who push back, but it's ultimately Mark's decision. He's the one who will sink or swim over that choice, not the rest of us."
Why Did Melania Trump Reject Vanity Fair's Fashion Photoshoot?
Vanity Fair's staff can give it a rest: Melania Trump is reportedly not even interested in causing chaos or joining their feud.
A fashion source familiar with the First Lady claimed she "laughed" at the Vanity Fair request in July and rejected it: "She doesn't have time to be sitting in a photoshoot. Her priorities as First Lady are far more important... These people don't deserve her anyway."

Mrs. Trump is busy with handling multiple projects, including Fostering the Future to support children in foster care and her Be Best initiative, which aims to combat cyberbullying and opioid abuse.
She also successfully led the Take It Down Act, which is meant for social media platforms to remove non-consensual intimate images. This week, she champions another movement, in which her new role is to lead the Presidential Artificial Intelligence Challenge, inspiring children to embrace AI technology.
Melania addressed the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, as "Dear President Putin" as she wrote, "It is time to protect children and future generations around the globe" to "serve humanity itself."
The source practically laughed at the previously mentioned employee, "She's way above doing Vanity Fair. She's been nothing but kind and works hard... She has her priorities straight."
