We can clearly tell that The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5 will be intense. While the fifth season of the Hulu series is still in the works, Elisabeth Moss, who plays June Osborne on the show, has revealed some insights about it.
Moss revealed in a new Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen interview that June and Serena Joy Waterford (Yvonne Strahovski) will be feuding once more.
Serena will cause problems for June in The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5
The Handmaid's Tale Season 4 concluded with June killing Serena's husband, Commander Fred Waterford (Joseph Fiennes). June mailed one of Fred's fingers to Serena to let her know she was responsible for Fred's death.
Moss revealed what to expect from The Handmaid's Tale Season 5 during a recent interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“The thing about killing Fred is it’s just one man,” Moss said. “And that’s not necessarily going to take care of the whole problem.”
Cohen then speculated, “I think killing Fred is going to somehow activate Serena Joy in dangerous ways.”
“Oh, you wouldn’t believe it,” Moss answered, “Yeah, it’s not good. Not good. She’s not happy.”
The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5 will be ‘wilder’
The Handmaid's Tale Season 5 has been kept under wraps so far. Moss' recent interviews, however, have provided some insight into what to expect.
Moss revealed in a recent interview with TVLine that The Handmaid's Tale Season 5 is more brutal than in previous seasons.
A love triangle involving June, Nick Blaine (Max Minghella), and Luke Bankole (O-T Fagbenle) is another running plot point in The Handmaid's Tale.
Before its fourth season had aired on Hulu, The Handmaid's Tale was renewed for a fifth season in 2020. The Handmaid's Tale Season 4 premiered in April 2021 and was completed in June 2021.
