It's another week, and this means two more episodes of The Good Bad Mother have been released on Netflix. This is nowhere near the middle of the episode count of the K-drama since there are a total of 14 episodes on The Good Bad Mother. But who is the father of Mi-Joo's kids in The Good Bad Mother?
So far, viewers are on the fourth episode and are getting surprised by every revelation. In Episode 2 of the show, avid fans were shocked to know that Lee Mi-Joo (played by Ahn Eun-Jin) already has kids.
The revelation was made after a time jump in the show while present-day Mi-Joo is daydreaming about opening her nail salon and gets interrupted by a phone call from her daughter, Lee Ye-Jin (played by Ki So-Yu). This is when fans were surprised to know that Mi-Joo has twins, Ye-Jin and Lee Seo-Jin (played by Park Da-On).
But who's the father of the 7-year-old twins? Here's what we know so far.
The Good Bad Mother: Who is the Father of Mi-Joo’s Kids?
During the episode where the twins were introduced, Mi-Joo's mother claimed that Mi-Joo got impregnated by a foreigner who went back to the US. And on Episode 4, Ye-Jin told her new playmate, Choi Kang-Ho (played by Lee Do-Hyun), that her father was a "horrifying bastard."
The twins don't know yet who their father is, but this phrase is what they keep hearing from their grandmother, Jung Gum-Ja (played by Kang Mal-Geum). It's also possible that Gum-Ja doesn't know the identity of the real father since Mi-Joo has kept this a secret from her too.
Kang-Ho and Mi-Joo's Past
Avid fans of the show can't help but suspect that Kang-Ho is the father of Mi-Joo's kids. But Kang-Ho doesn't know that Mi-Joo was pregnant when they broke up.
As youngsters, Kang-Ho and Mi-Joo were in a relationship. But they had to break up because Kang-Ho left home after his mother, Jin Young-Soon (played by Ra Mi-Ran), banished him for missing the exams.
Years later, Mi-Joo suddenly ran into Kang-Ho as she was eating at a seafood restaurant with her new colleagues from her nail salon. Kang-Ho was working part-time as a server at the restaurant.
At first, Mi-Joo was angry that Kang-Ho left without saying goodbye. But when Kang-Ho explained his situation to her, she understood and forgave him.
Mi-Joo also decided to support Kang-Ho by investing in him as he focuses on his studies. Kang-Ho says goodbye to his employers and meets Mi-Joo out front.
The two then have a happy time together while Mi-Joo works at a nail salon and Kang-Ho focuses on becoming a prosecutor. Mi-Joo also becomes Kang-Ho's number one supporter by cheering on his successes, preparing hearty meals for him, and even comforting him when he needs it.
On Kang-Ho's part, he reveals that Mi-Joo gave him the will to live after being raised by a strict mom. So it's really surprising how the two could have broken up after all that time.
Is Kang-Ho the Father of Mi-Joo’s Twins?
At this point, we are almost certain that Kang-Ho is the father of the twins.
In the present-day setting of the show, Kang-Ho and Mi-Joo are both 35 years old. The twins, meanwhile, are seven years old.
This means that Mi-Joo could have given birth to them when she was 27 or 28 years old. When Kang-Ho took the bar exam, he could have been around 23 or 24 years old, which was when they were still happily together.
Our theory is that Kang-Ho could have learned the truth behind his father's murder and plotted revenge against those involved. In the process, he could have changed and become cold to Mi-Joo to the point of pushing her away.

It's possible that Kang-Ho is determined to make those responsible pay for their crimes, which is why he plotted to get on the good side of Song Woo-Byeok (played by Choi Moo-Sung) and Oh Tae-Soo (played by Jung Woong-In).
When he broke up with Mi-Joo, he either didn't know that she was pregnant or he pushed her to have an abortion. Either scenario could explain why Mi-Joo is angry at Kang-Ho in the present day, which is what we saw in the post-credit of episode 4.
We can't wait to know what happens next. It's possible that the identity of the twins' father could be revealed in episode 5, along with the reason behind Mi-Joo and Kang-Ho's break up.
Meanwhile, here is the post-credit teaser for episode 5:
In episode 10 of The Good Bad Mother, we got an official confirmation from Mi-Joo as she tells her mother the truth about her twins and who their father is.
In episode 12, Mi-Joo also admits the truth to Young-Soon while Kang-Ho is in the hospital. Young-Soon realizes that Mi-Joo is the mystery woman whom Kang-Ho wrote about in his journal.
Mi-Joo then tells Young-Soon that the twins are Kang-Ho's. She learned about her pregnancy after Kang-Ho broke up with her.
In the same episode, Kang-Ho regains his memory and overhears Mi-Joo's admission. He then approaches the twins and apologizes to them for not recognizing them sooner.
All 14 episodes of The Good Bad Mother are available to watch on Netflix.
