Fans are still waiting for the coming of The Flight Attendant Season 3 after the second ended in May. But after Kaley Cuoco was announced to join the cast of a new comedic thriller, Peacock, will she still return as Cassie Bowden in the hit HBO Max series?
The future of The Flight Attendant Season 3 remains up in the air. However, it looks like it’s still “likely” to happen.
The Coming of The Flight Attendant Season 3
According to Screen Rant, the coming of the show’s third season “remains likely” even if Cuoco has a new show to do.
However, it can’t be denied that after the second season mostly tied the show’s loose ends; add to that the new update about its lead star, and it remains to be seen if a third outing will still be on the go.
Deadline reported that discussions about the possibility of doing the third season were still being conducted.
Series creator Steve Yockey is reportedly looking for “potential story avenues” to continue the series. It’s also good to note that Cuoco’s deal will let her return to a possible The Flight Attendant Season 3.
Hence, her new project doesn’t mean the HBO Max series is already canceled. Her new deal is also said to indicate that she’s “very much interested” in reprising her role as Cassie as long as the story continues to be interesting.
In addition, HBO Chief Casey Bloys told Deadline that if a good idea to do a new season came out, a third bout could be on the cards and it would be up to the producers.

He explained,
"In season one, remember, it was a limited series and they had an idea for season two that I thought they executed brilliantly. If they come to us and say we have this great idea for season three, we should be so lucky."
Kaley Cuoco Weighs In on Possible The Flight Attendant Season 3
In an interview with People, Cuoco weighed in on the possibility of doing The Flight Attendant Season 3.
After two seasons, The Big Bang Theory star believed they should be done, but the thought had already “outnumbered” her.
She said,
“There's definitely interest in doing a third season. I think for me, at this moment, the plane has landed."
However, after the second season wrapped up the hanging plots, she admitted she needed a minute after feeling like the show had just ended.

She added,
“Some of my favourite shows on TV take some time to come back, and then I get very excited about a new season. I want to make sure that the fans are excited and that we're not pushing it too hard. I mean, we've done so much this season. Even in the eight episodes, we've done so much story that I'm thinking, 'Well, what could we do next?”
With that said, Cuoco knew they needed to think a lot to ensure that doing The Flight Attendant Season 3 would be better than the previous seasons, which for her was “very hard to do.”
