George Clooney recently confirmed that the long-awaited sequel, Ocean's 14, is officially happening after the studio approved the budget.
For the last few years, there have been reports that a new Ocean's movie is currently in the works that will bring back Clooney and the other A-list stars who starred in the trilogy. Fans have been wondering whether it will move forward soon. After all, it has become a trend nowadays to do legacy sequels to iconic movies from the past.
Is Ocean's 14 Finally Happening?

In a recent interview with E! News, Clooney revealed that Ocean's 14 is confirmed to be happening as they are now preparing for filming to take place next year.
He shared that the budget was recently approved by the studio, and they are currently working on the schedule.
"We just got the budget approved at Warner Bros. and we’re trying to set up. It’s just scheduling, so it’s just setting a start date for us. Probably start in about nine or 10 months, shooting," he said.
When asked if he would be reuniting with his fellow A-list stars in the original trilogy, Clooney confirmed that they are all in talks to return.
"Yeah, Brad [Pitt], Matt [Damon] and Don [Cheadle], and Julia [Roberts]. I had dinner last night with Julia. They’re all still really dear friends. And so, the chance to work together would be fun," he revealed.
So far, no release window has been set yet for the movie, but nevertheless, this is an exciting update for fans who have been looking forward to the potential next installment of the Ocean's franchise.
What to Expect in Ocean's 14
So far, the plot details regarding Ocean's 14 are still being kept under wraps, aside from the return of the main characters that we loved in the trilogy.
In a 2023 interview, Clooney teased that they "have a really good script for another Ocean’s now, so we may end up doing another one. It’s actually a great script."
It is also unknown whether it will have a crossover with Ocean's 8, which focused on Sandra Bullock's Debbie Ocean, the sister of Clooney's character Danny Ocean.
David Leitch is currently attached to direct the film, although it is unknown which writer is currently working on the script. For now, fans should wait for more news and updates regarding the project in the coming months.
