It has been a long wait but The Book of Boba Fett is finally here. So what happened in the Star Wars show's premiere? Episode 1 gave fans an awesome reminder of Boba's origins, his infamous ordeal from the original film trilogy, and even a glimpse at his future! SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
The Book of Boba Fett Episode 1 started on an emotional note as we are immediately brought back to the destruction of Kamino which happened to be the first place Boba called home. We also revisit Geonosis where he deals with the death of his father Jango Fett. The flurry of memories is rounded out by the revelation of how Boba escaped the Pit of Carkoon.
Not surprisingly, it was Boba's flamethrower that helped him get out of the Sarlacc pit but he faints after crawling his way out of the pit. It is also confirmed that Cobb Vanth wasn't lying in The Mandalorian when he said he got Boba's armor from Jawas, who took the armor from the unconscious bounty hunter. Although Tusken raiders later find him, Boba is treated cruelly by their children.
The episode is not just all flashbacks. We also get to catch up on Boba as he takes over as the new crime lord of Tatooine. However, it isn't an easy task for him and Fennec Shand. After all, the duo doesn't seem to be sure what they are doing and the locals appear to know this all too well.
Getting respect as a crime lord might not be easy for Boba but he didn't have that problem with the Tusken raiders. He manages to gain his captors' respect after taking down a strange new creature. With that in mind, there could be more action-packed flashbacks in the future.
The Book of Boba Fett Episode 1 is now streaming on Disney+.
