Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku
Hell's Paradise is an action-adventure manga that follows Gabimaru the Hollow, one of Iwagakure's most ruthless ninja assassins.
He was apprehended during a mission and sentenced to death. Gabimaru's body appeared to be immortal because no punishment could kill him.
Gabimaru believes that the love he has for his wife is what keeps him alive. Yamada Asaemon Sagiri, the executioner, believes otherwise.
He offers Gabimaru an agreement to pardon all of his crimes in exchange for retrieving the elixir of life from the legendary realm of Shisenkyo.
Fire Punch
Fire Punch is yet another completed manga that combines action, science fiction, and drama.
Because it contains mature themes such as cannibalism, physical abuse, suicide, and explicit violence, a disclaimer is given.
The manga, by the same person behind Chainsaw Man, follows the siblings Agni and Luna in a frozen and barren world where cannibalism is practiced.
In Agni and Luna's village, one of the chosen few with special abilities known as blessings appear.
Doma, disgusted by the town's cannibalism, burns the inhabitants, including Agni and Luna. While Luna dies, Agni survives thanks to his rapid regeneration. Agni has vowed to exact vengeance on Doma ever since.
Emma
Emma is a historical and romantic manga set in Victorian London in the 19th century. The manga, which was first published in 2002 and was later adapted into an anime, follows the struggling relationship of Emma and William Jones.
While Emma is a beautiful and hardworking young maid, William Jones is the son of a wealthy merchant. This complicates their relationship because William's family is strongly opposed to her social standing. William is soon to be married to Eleanor, the daughter of a Viscount.
Angel Densetsu
Angel Densetsu is one of my personal favorites. It is an action-comedy manga that has also been animated.
Seiichirou Kitano, who has the face of a devil but the heart of an angel, is the protagonist of the manga.
Seiichirou is frequently assumed to be a delinquent and heroin addict due to his frightening appearance. He rose through the ranks of the thugs at school, gaining friends who expected him to act in accordance with his appearance.
Seiichirou, on the other hand, is a very peaceful young man who despises violence among other things.
Jormungand
Jormungand is an action and seinen manga with a lot of guns, mercenaries, the military, and violence.
In the spring of 2012, this completed manga was also adapted into an anime.
The manga follows Koko Hekmatyar and her unlikely crew of former soldiers as they sell firearms and weapons through an international shipping corporation and an illegal smuggling operation known as HCLI.
Jonah, an apathetic and lethal child soldier who despises Koko's methods, has joined their team.
Regardless, Koko pursues her plans for world peace in her own unique way, despite the fact that the CIA is hot on her tail.
Helck
Helck is an action and fantasy manga that follows the human hero Helck as he battles to become the next Demon King.
In a world where the demon king has been defeated by a lone hero, creatures and people of all races gather for the world's most important tournament. Red Vamirio, one of the Four Heavenly Kings, oversees the tournament as Helck emerges victorious.
Red Vamirio appears to have some reservations about Helck's true intentions. After all, Helck carries the title of Demon King on his shoulders.
Pluto
Pluto is an action drama and seinen manga that follows Gesicht, an advanced robot who can solve the world's most difficult cases.
He is dealing with one of the most difficult cases he has ever encountered. One of the world's seven greatest robots was murdered, its head desecrated with makeshift horns.
In addition, the robot rights activist, Robot North No.2, and the creator of international robot laws were both assassinated in the same manner. As shocking as it may sound, Gesicht concludes that the unknown assailants are targeting all of the world's most powerful robots.
Oyasumi Pun Pun
Oyasumi Pun Pun is one of the best mangas on the list. It represents maturation, dysfunctional families, societal and personal issues, suicide, and other mature themes.
To say the least, it's a depressing manga. Regardless, the engaging narrative makes it worthwhile to read.
Punpun, a regular student, is the protagonist of the manga. While everything he does appears to be normal, the people around him keep him on edge.
Some of the things that bother him are his teachers' extreme reactions to the smallest things, his father's arrest for domestic violence, and his unemployed uncle who watches over him.
The Voynich Hotel
The Voynich Hotel is a completed manga that combines comedy, horror, mystery, slice-of-life, and supernatural elements.
The manga follows Kazuki Taizou, a former yakuza who seeks refuge at The Voynich Hotel after fleeing his family.
The Voynich Hotel is unlike any other place on the planet. It is staffed with murderous assassin maids and is located in the heart of a war-torn island.
Tokyo Crazy Paradise
Tokyo Crazy Paradise is an action-comedy manga that follows Ryuji and Tsukasa's budding relationship. Ryuji is a yakuza boss who has taken in the simple-minded Tsukasa after the death of her parents.
He purposefully indebts Tsukasa to keep an eye on his friend. Tsukasa, on the other hand, is looking for a way to repay Ryuji.
Ryuji and Tsukasa's friendship grows stronger as they take turns saving each other's lives in the midst of dangerous drugs and weaponry that could potentially destroy Tokyo.
Holyland
Holyland is a one-of-a-kind completed manga series. It includes delinquents, martial arts, as well as some seinen and psychological facets. It's an odd combination, but it results in a manga that's worth reading.
The manga follows Yuu Kamishiro, a frail young boy who is frequently bullied by his peers. Yuu, tired of reality's harshness, began honing his skills in martial arts amidst a world of violence and permissive law.
Yuu has earned the title of Thug Hunter, a man who roams the streets and defends himself against street thugs. Yuu is getting closer to his Holyland with each fight.
