There were rumors that The Bachelorette alumni Jonathon Johnson and Jenn Tran were in a relationship after the latter broke her engagement with Devin Strader.
The speculation started as fans noticed that they became closer again based on social media posts and Jonathon being supportive of Jenn when she participated in Dancing with the Stars.
Jonathon Johnson on His Rumored Relationship with Jenn Tran
In a recent podcast interview, Jonathon addressed his rumored relationship with Jenn after months of speculations regarding their status.
The former The Bachelorette contestant clarified that he and Jenn are simply in platonic friendship and they are not romantically involved at all despite forming a connection while filming their season.
"I didn’t want to put any of that pressure on her. It wasn’t anything more than that," he said.
Regarding their social media posts, Jonathon explained, "We’re going to make videos together because people love to see it. It wasn’t anything more than that."
In terms of the fans' response to their rumored relationship, Jonathon admitted that he was not happy with how they've been reacting.
"They want that love story. It didn’t work out with the first two guys, so they’re like 'Alright, who’s the next best option,'" he said.
"Once I started thinking [about it], that’s kind of sh*tty. I’m the next best option, I didn’t like to think about."
Jenn Tran's Current Relationship Status
Jenn has not publicly commented about her relationship status since ending her engagement with Devin months ago.
There have also been rumors that she is romantically linked with her Dancing with the Stars partner Sasha Farber, but no confirmation has been made.
"I feel like I’ve known her for three months, and I’ve known her my whole life," Farber said in an interview and added that her experience felt like a "reborn."
"The beginning of the week, it is night and day. But she trusts the process. She knows that this isn’t looking good right now, but it’s gonna look good, and we’re gonna work on it."
