Corenswet's audition tape for Superman was released online last week, giving fans a glimpse of why James Gunn and his team decided to cast him in the role.

In the three-minute video, Corenswet was seen in costume as Clark Kent and performing the interview scene with his wife, Julia Warner, who was reading off-screen in the Lois Lane part.

A lot of fans praised the viral audition video as they saw it as proof that Corenswet was indeed the right actor for the role from the very beginning, and they understood why Gunn may have cast him after watching the tape.
