The Acolyte’s first two episodes are out now, and they have elicited lots of reaction from fans. One thing that many noticed is how The Acolyte’s Osha has a tattoo that looks very much like the BTS logo.
Even though BTS is one of the biggest music groups in the world, their songs aren’t exactly wide-reaching to reach a galaxy far, far away.
Still, the fact that Osha’s tattoo looks almost exactly like the group’s logo leads many fans to believe that this is a cheeky reference from the show’s staff.

The Acolyte Fans Think Osha’s Tattoo is the BTS Logo
Star Wars’ latest Disney+ series The Acolyte finally premiered today, and its protagonist is named Osha. As revealed in the second episode, Osha has a twin named Mae, both of whom are played by Amandla Stenberg.
Also revealed in episode 2 was Osha’s interesting tattoo. Osha’s former Jedi Master Sol noticed the tattoo and pointed it out.
While it doesn’t seem like a significant plot point, the scene works in establishing the relationship between Master Sol and Osha. It seems that even if Osha left the order, Master Sol still has a soft spot for her.
Instead of this being the main topic of discussion, many fans instead talked about Osha’s tattoo essentially being the BTS logo.
When asked about the tattoo, Osha said that she got it during her CorpSec days during a “crazy night with some of [her] crew.”
Even though it looks almost exactly like the boy group’s logo, at no point did Osha mention anything that can be interpreted as a BTS reference.
It wouldn’t be surprising if an ARMY from the production team added that as a nod to BTS though. After all, the show also stars the popular Korean actor Lee Jung-jae (of Squid Game fame).

What Does Osha’s Tattoo in the Acolyte Mean?
Whether it’s a BTS nod or not, what’s clear is that the tattoo is a reminder of Osha’s days in CorpSec which she joined after leaving the Jedi Order.
CorpSec or Corporate Sector is a sector in the Outer Rim Territories that’s under the jurisdiction of the Corporate Sector Authority.
This sector is essentially one that’s controlled by a corporate authority directly instead of being subject to the Republic.
Other Star Wars media have mentioned CorpSec, including various novels. Interestingly, CorpSec has survived even until the time of the First Order.
Osha mentioning CorpSec may be a piece of foreshadowing, though it may also just be a reference to other media. Fans will have to stay tuned to the next episodes to find out.
