Because of its divisiveness, The Rise of Skywalker has managed to rekindle conversations about Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Fans disappointed by the third and final entry in Disney's Star Wars sequel trilogy have taken to Twitter to discuss Rian Johnson's Star Wars movie, and it looks like there's a new hashtag honoring the divisive but critically-acclaimed film.

Star Wars fans have come up with the #ThankYouRianJohnson hashtag on Twitter to show Johnson just how much they appreciate The Last Jedi. In their posts, fans talk about the things they love the most about Episode VIII, listing down the Tico sisters, the porgs, storytelling, cinematic scenes, and a narrative that resonated with women. They even talk about how much they love The Last Jedi's version of Luke, admitting that they loved how Johnson allowed the Jedi to be human in the film.
