Braddock will be antagonizing Holland’s Nathan Drake and Walhberg’s Sullivan. Braddock is a mercenary who always gets to outplay Nathan Drake’s adventures. Braddock has a black belt, is relentless, and is also a psychopath.

In an interview with IGN, Gabrielle discussed her preparations to develop a bad-ass psychopath villain for the Uncharted film.

“I did a lot of research into what it means to be a psychopath, I believe that Braddock is truly a, like, clinically diagnosed psychopath. It was (a lot of) trying to understand what it actually looks like to meet somebody that has no empathy and has zero regard for their fellow human being and sometimes even themselves.”

Uncharted is based on a video game and even though Gabrielle's character isn’t really in the game, she still managed to play and study the game to deliver a villainous role. “I started with the fourth game, since I was told that most closely aligned to what we were doing in the film,” Gabrielle explained. “So I did get to meet Nadine and Rafe that way. That is kind of where I got my inspiration for Braddock, sort of bringing Nadine and Rafe together into one (character).”

The actress then explained the relevance of these kinds of roles to her career, whether fans expect her to stick with them or expect versatility with her to try on different roles.

“Yeah, I really hope to after Uncharted. I don't think I'm going to take another role like this for a while because I've done it twice in a row already,” Gabrielle said. “I definitely want to move into more hero roles or just even unconventional ones. Something that I may not have even seen before or can put in as simple of a box as hero or anti-hero or villain. I really want to challenge myself to go as far as I can.”

Some actors do the same roles for their whole career and some avoid being a typecast and do different genres so that they can showcase their versatility as an actor.

While Tati Gabrielle is really doing well in the villainous roles, we would surely want to see her try something new.

Sony’s Uncharted is now showing in theaters.
