There's no denying that Jar Jar Binks is one of the most polarizing figures in all of Star Wars and the hate the Gungan character has been getting since his introduction in Episode I - The Phantom Menace still hasn't died down. For some reason, diehard fans of the franchise just can't seem to get behind the character and over the years, there have been several "what if" attempts from conspiracy theorists that aim to convert the fandom into Jar Jar fanatics.

A popular theory/concept that has been circulating all over the internet for years now is that Jar Jar is secretly a Sith Lord. George Lucas himself reportedly backed this theory up, allegedly saying that Jar Jar was always meant to be an undercover Sith.

Now, the Darth Jar Jar debacle has once again come back to life after the comments made by director Taika Waititi who is currently working on a Star Wars project. Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Thor: Love and Thunder jokingly said that he might be helming a film that would involve Jar Jar as his main character.

Darth Jar Jar would finally become a reality after the folks over at ScreenRant generated an artificial intelligence image via AI art creator Craiyon of the divisive character looking sinister with his red lightsaber. Check out the image below:

Well, considering Taika's brand of directing, the idea of him working on a film centered on Jar Jar Binks isn't that much of a stretch when you think about it. But I doubt he'd actually do it because the fandom still hasn't warmed up to the character despite the fact the the prequel trilogy is now treated like gold.

That said, Episodes I to III of the Skywalker saga are available for streaming on Disney+.
