Pokemon Sword & Shield will be the first mainline games coming to Nintendo Switch and fans are pretty pumped for whatever new features are added to these new entries. We already know that Galarian forms of already-existing Pokemon are a thing, returning from Sun and Moon, but The Pokemon Company has revealed something interesting; Pokemon can get jobs.
Likely inspired by Detective Pikachu, Pokemon that are put in the deposit box can actually take jobs, called Poke Jobs, where players can reap the rewards for this. Depending on the job, players might have to choose specific types to get it done better. Rare items can be earned for this and the Pokemon can gain experience, which means evolutions can be much easier.
All of this can be done with Rotomi, a Rotom-powered computer. Rotomi will give players the jobs and Pokemon-types needed for them. It's also neat seeing the Pokemon get an upgrade from being a living Pokedex in Sun and Moon, so that's always neat. We don't know how many jobs will be available but here's hoping that they aren't blocked behind microtransactions.
Fans will finally be able to get their hands on Pokemon Sword & Shield on November 15. These two games will be the first mainline titles on Nintendo Switch.
