Fans will again see the post-apocalyptic world of the animal-human hybrids in Sweet Tooth Season 3.
It will also be the last time the half-deer child Gus (Christian Convery) will grace the small screens. Based on the Vertigo Comics series of the same name, the creator and showrunner Jim Mickle said it was the same story he imagined telling.
Sweet Tooth Season 3 Announced
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the show’s renewal for the last and final season.
Aside from Convery, Nonso Anozie is also set to return to reprise his role as Tommy Jepperd.
Rosalind Chao and Amy Seimetz will be upped as series regulars, while new cast members, like Cara Gee and Ayazhan Dalabayeya, will join the show.
Of course, Adeel Akhtar, Stefania LaVie Owen, Dania Ramirez, Aliza Vellani, James Brolin, and Will Forte will still be seen.
In an official statement, Mickle also addressed the coming of Sweet Tooth Season 3.
He said,
“In a lot of ways, it’s exactly the story that I imagined we would tell, and in a lot of ways, it takes on its own life. At the beginning, I think you set out to tell these landmark pieces of Gus’ story and the big pieces of the comic book, but the beauty of long-form storytelling and Gus’ journey over 24 episodes is the characters themselves tell you what they want to be. The crew and cast bring so much depth and point of view to who the characters are and where they’ve come from, and where they’re going.”

“Season 3 is an Arctic story with exciting new adventures and what we hope will be a satisfying conclusion to this epic tale,” he teased. “Gus is going to see a side of the world and humanity that he didn’t see in Season 1 or 2.”
