Fans have begun to wonder whether The Summer I Turned Pretty has any connections with the 1954 flick, Sabrina.
Considering the similar titular love triangle Belly and Sabrina go through, here's how the poster seemingly spoiled the ending of the Prime show.
WARNING: This article contains MAJOR SPOILERS for the ending of The Summer I Turned Pretty, so proceed with caution.
Was the Summer I Turned Pretty Poster Inspiration Intentional?
The Summer I Turned Pretty's season 3 poster reminded fans of another iconic love triangle-centered classic, Sabrina. Since Belly's a classic cinephile fanatic herself, it's safe to say that the poster may be a fun nod to the parallel story.
In the 1954 flick, Sabrina (played by Audrey Hepburn) has always pined for David, the son of her father's employer. However, David, who preferred sticking to his playboy ways, has only ever seen her as a child.
Sabrina then met David's older brother, Linus, who saved her from committing suicide after facing David's rejection.

Distraught by this experience, Sabrina went to Paris for her schooling, only to return to New York, and surprisingly had David wrapped around her finger.
After a couple of back-and-forths between David and Linus, the ending goes like this: Linus sacrificed himself by making sure that his brother David could be with Sabrina. That is, until David realized his brother loved Sabrina more.
David sent Linus to run after Sabrina, leaving the couple as the endgame for the story. In this scenario, Conrad is Linus, Belly is Sabrina, and Jeremiah is David.
Here's how the poster spoils the endgame couple once season 3 ends.
Will Belly's Book Endgame Be Different from the Summer I Turned Pretty Show?
What's surprisingly accurate is that Sabrina and The Summer I Turned Pretty's only difference is the setting.
As the older brother, Conrad usually chose the best interests of his family over his own desires. This more often than not interrupted his moments with Belly.
Even though Belly had a crush on Conrad, Jeremiah, who had been a known playboy since season 1, won her over first.
Despite how things went down between the two, Jenny Han's ending to the third book held a surprise for fans that we might get to see come true on Prime.

Upon ending the book trilogy, Conrad kept his distance to instead love Belly from afar, even as she was still dating Jeremiah.
However, when she breaks up with Jeremiah, she travels to Europe, only to eventually reunite with Conrad and ultimately choose him as her endgame.
It remains to be seen if the show will follow through with the book's promising ending, but there's also the possibility of Belly choosing herself for once, after the anguish she faced in the previous seasons.
For now, the first two episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 are streaming on Prime Video.
