To become the top dog, Haruka Sakura has to surpass Wind Breaker's strongest characters. It almost seems impossible to achieve this bold ambition, but Sakura has the potential to do it because of his drive and determination.
Wind Breaker is stacked with strong fighters, from the leaders of Bofurin and Shishitoren to the rookie first-years who are nothing but extraordinary, making Sakura's journey incredibly difficult.
Spoiler Warning: This article includes spoilers for the Wind Breaker manga, so proceed with caution.
Yukinari Arima
When Yukinari Arima first appeared, everyone thought he would be a decent fighter due to his cool image and hairstyle.
He is incredibly arrogant like most typical anime delinquents behave when they pick on other weaker characters.
There were a lot of expectations for him during the brawl against Bofurin, but sadly, he didn't meet them.
During the fight with Kyotaro, Yukinari didn't even last five minutes! After he attempted to distract his opponent, his face hit the floor, losing his match.
It was an embarrassment for him that his fellow members think he's just all talk.
Minoru Kanuma
Minoru is higher than Yukinari on this list because he lasted longer in the fight against Bofurin, although all he did was embarrass himself in front of Hayato Suo and everybody else.
Like Yukinari, anime viewers thought he could fight on equal terms with Hayato, but he never landed a single punch or kick on one of Bofurin's strongest rookie fighters.
In the end, Minoru embarrassed himself in front of Shishitoren, earning the ire of the members who had admired him before.
Kota Sako
Kota Sako is one of the many characters in Wind Breaker who has the potential to grow even stronger because of his desire to surpass the one person he looks up to the mostāHiragi Toma.
During his fight with Hiiragi, who we know is one of Bofurin's heavenly kings, he was able to hold his own, exchanging punches and kicks for the majority of the fight.
He displayed his strength, making some of the characters, like Haruka, acknowledge him.
Still, Sako is not yet strong enough to defeat Hiiragi in the end. This doesn't mean that he'll stop growing; his losing the fight against Hiiragi is just the beginning of a bright future.
Kyotaro Sugishita
Kyotaro Sugishita is known for being the most dangerous guy in Bofurin, at least according to Nireiās notes.
He acts like a savage beast, and his only devotion is to Hajime Umemiya, whom he greatly respects. He possesses tremendous strength and can knock out a delinquent within seconds.
When the one-on-one brawl with Shishitoren happened, he immediately destroyed his opponent without breaking a sweat.
Suo Hayato
Suo Hayato is a total mystery. Characters like him, who usually have a frightening smirk on their faces, have immense strength hidden beneath their phony appearance.
Suo fights like water. He is free-flowing, yet he has no idea what technique he utilizes against his opponents, which is intriguing. He merely mentioned that he had previous training from a master instructor.
Suo is a dangerous man, the type that will mock his opponent before defeating them for good.
Togame Jo
Togame Jo is Shishitoren's crafty and threatening vice leader. He's not someone to mess with since he holds grudges.
His confrontation with Haruka and the rest of his friends turned into a big deal, as he assembled the strongest members of Shishitoren to challenge Bofurin in a one-on-one brawl, backed up by Tomiyama, of course.
However, Togame ultimately lost to Haruka.
Sakura Haruka
Of course, Sakura Haruka is the main character in Wind Breaker, and he possesses impressive talents and abilities worthy of showing off.
He could fight multiple delinquents at once and still win. He possesses excellent fighting instincts, combat prowess, and intellect, which he uses to evaluate his opponents and fight them head-on.
It's commendable for a first-year like Sakura to have already overcome a vice-captain like Togame, even if his face was injured in the process.
What makes him more dangerous is his drive to become stronger and rise to the top, even if it means surpassing Umemiya in the series.
Ren Kaji
At a glance, Ren Kaji looks like a cool, laidback student who doesnāt care about his classmates, but in reality, he is a second-grade captain who oversees Haruka Sakuraās entire class as part of his responsibility.
As one of the captains, Ren has the skills and abilities to support his position. He was once clueless about his leadership position, but times have changed, and he has since decided to take care of his men to the best of his abilities.
During the fight with a gang called Keel, Ren was there to support Sakura and the others, refusing to give up against insane opponents who are nothing but trouble.
Hiragi Toma
Hiragi is one of the four heavenly kings of Bofurin High. He's also one of the series' most respected fighters, with Togame eager to face him one-on-one if Haruka wasn't around.
Umemiya has complete trust in his abilities, and he knows he will not lose to anyone, even if it is someone with whom he has a shared past and a close connection.
It's funny how Hiragi's stomach usually gets in the way when he feels anxious, so to defeat Hiragi, it is best to attack him while his stomach is in pain.
Tomiyama Choji
Tomiyama is the leader of Shishitoren, one of Bofurin's rival schools.
Unlike Umemiya, Tomiyama behaves like a savage beast, looking for tough opponents to battle with.
He has no regard for individuals who are less than him, and he would rather abandon them than include them in his crew.
Tomiyama used to be cheerful and friendly, like Umemiya, but after taking over the leadership of Shishitoren, he changed drastically.
Now an empty shell, Tomiyama is sick of his boring life and is out to wreak havoc against the weak and vulnerable!
Hajime Umemiya
Hajime Umemiya is the strongest fighter at Bofurin High. He is currently the top dog, revered by everybody, including the four heavenly generals, who are known for their combat prowess and wit.
He is at the pinnacle of Bofurin's hierarchy, although he is unlike any other delinquent leader. He dislikes fighting other people and will frequently engage in negotiation or debate before engaging in physical confrontation.
Umemiya is a carefree and compassionate leader, the type who looks out for his men more than anything else.
He could also pass as the twin brother of Jujutsu Kaisen's Gojo Satoru due to how similar they are.
