Stranger Things Season 5 is almost here, and the final war against Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) is expected to be nothing short of epic, with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the rest of the gang joining forces to bring him down.
The official trailer even teased an unexpected alliance between Vecna and Will (Noah Schnapp), along with an intense battle that may leave some fan-favorites not making it out alive.
As the series gears up for its climactic end, the Stranger Things Season 5 finale title seemingly hints at how Hawkins’ story will conclude this epic saga.
How Will Stranger Things Season 5 End?

While nobody knows how Stranger Things Season 5 will end, as one of the most beloved TV series today, everything about it is, of course, kept tightly under wraps.
However, given that the show has some of the smartest and most observant viewers, many can’t help but form theories about how it might conclude based on the finale title, “Chapter Eight: The Rightside Up.”
Echoing the show’s infamous alternate dimension, the Upside Down, “The Rightside Up” appears to be its complete opposite — a possible “happily ever after” that could see Hawkins and its people finally free from the threat of Vecna, the Demogorgons, and other monstrous creatures.
In fact, one Reddit user suggested that Eleven might replace Vecna as the new ruler of the Upside Down, transforming it into a haven and turning it into the so-called “Rightside Up.”
“The cycle of new monsters coming into the world can only be ended if she does what 001 did and takes control of the UD — but this time, make it into a beautiful and peaceful land,” the Redditor wrote.“Therefore, the end of Eleven's character arc shouldn't be her forgetting her powers and being normal; it should be her becoming a Mentor archetype. As new children are born who can access the UD, she can contact them and teach them to do good.”
While fans should take this theory with a grain of salt, as nothing has been confirmed yet, there’s no denying that the title “The Rightside Up” speaks volumes about how Stranger Things Season 5 could ultimately end on a positive note.
When Will Stranger Things Season 5 Be Released?

Stranger Things Season 5 will be split into three volumes over the course of two months. While many fans have expressed frustration over this release format—especially after the long wait between the fourth and fifth seasons—the series’ creators, the Duffer Brothers, explain that this structure allows them to make the show’s endgame bigger and more ambitious than ever.
"I'm also excited about the first volume because, in Season 4, we weren’t aware that it was going to be split in two," Ross Duffer told SFX Magazine (via GamesRadar). "It's not Netflix's fault—it’s nobody’s fault. There was the pandemic, and we ended up dividing it in two so we could get episodes out sooner. But this time, we knew we were going to divide it into two, so it really is in two halves. Volume One really exists as its own mega-movie. It has its own climax."
Fans will soon witness the beginning of the end, as Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 (Episodes 1–4) is set to release on November 26, followed by Volume 2 (Episodes 5–7) on December 25, and Volume 3 (Episode 8) on December 31.
