What Happened Before Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 5?
In Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 4 titled Faster, Hunter and Echo took on an assignment so Cid gets to have Omega, Tech, and Wrecker and she takes them to a riot race in Safa Toma. Cid visits her droid racer, TAY-0.
A challenge is placed on Cid by Millegi, a business rival of hers, and the racer Jet Venim. By the following round, Millegi tells Venim to cheat so TAY-0 would lose but when it is time for Millegi to collect, Omega steps in to challenge him in exchange for Cid's freedom.
Since TAY-0 was wrecked in the accident, Tech takes the place of TAY-0 and given his calculative intellect, even when he is not experienced to take on races like that, he wins. Millegi gives Cid back but he warned them that Cid may be a traitor against them one day.
