The official first-look photos at the upcoming series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew have finally arrived after years of anticipation.

The MandoVerse-set Star Wars series will focus on a Force user and a group of young characters as they embark on an adventure in the galaxy far, far away after a mysterious discovery.

Oscar-nominated actor Jude Law is leading the ensemble. Spider-Man director Jon Watts co-created the series alongside Christopher Ford with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni also involved as executive producers.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Unveils First Look Photo and Release Date

The official first-look photos for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew were recently released online, which gave fans their first preview of the main characters and their adventure in a "strange and dangerous" galaxy.

Law is confirmed to be playing a Force user named Jod Na Nawood. He is starring alongside Ravi Cabot-Conyers (Wim), Kyriana Kratter (KB), Robert Timothy Smith (Neel), and Ryan Kiera Armstrong (Fern).

Comedian Nick Frost will be voicing a droid named SM 33, who accompanies the main characters in their adventure.

It was also revealed that the series will premiere on Disney+ this December 3.

Law shared in an interview that the "first word that comes to my mind" when describing the series is "joyful."

He said that fans will watch the kids "maneuver through" the places they encounter in the galaxy and "seeing children in that environment in a Star Wars environment is thrilling and very, very unique."

"It is a fun place to be, the universe of Star Wars. And there are great references to old films and recent episodes and series," the actor added. "There's a lot of originality and I hope that will bring the feeling of fun to those who watch it."

While the series will be a high-stakes adventure for the main characters, Law explained that it is "very much a piece about working together and overcoming fears and overcoming...perhaps [one's] opinion of oneself or one's own weaknesses in order to succeed."

The photos that they've shown here look promising as we are seeing signs that they're living up to the idea of the series being an Amblin-esque adventure and having a more youth-oriented feel than the other projects.
