Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker might be the end of Lucasfilm's Star Wars sequel trilogy, however, it seems like the film that's supposed to serve as the culmination of the Skywalker saga might still leave fans with questions in the end.
Speaking in an interview with Metro,Star Wars newbie Naomi Ackie hints that Episode IX is actually going to be an open-minded story. According to the British actress, fans ought to be prepared because The Rise of Skywalker might end up being divisive.
"There are some people that leave it that might feel like they've got everything they wanted", she explained, "But there might still be more questions, and that's the whole point. The story continues."
It might sound a bit of a surprise to hear that The Rise of Skywalker is going to add more questions to the franchise. Does this mean that we'll get to see more stories about Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), Poe (Oscar Isaac), and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in the franchise? Will Lucasfilm answer the questions that The Rise of Skywalker leaves by creating a new series for these sequel trilogy characters?
Sure, Disney might have said that Episode IX is going to mark the end of the Skywalker saga, but the Mickey Mouse House never really said that it wouldn't create a new Disney+ series for heroes like Rey.
