Star Wars Legend Mark Hamill Approves Female Luke Skywalker

It looks like Star Wars legend Mark Hamill approves the look that Luke Skywalker would have if the Star Wars hero were actually a woman.

For the past few days, netizens have been busy using FaceApp to see what they'd look like if they were born the opposite sex and it seems like Hamill's decided to join in on the fun by sharing a fan edit that's turned Luke Skywalker into a woman.

The picture was originally posted on Reddit. Hamill decided to share the post on Instagram:

"CAPTION THIS. I'll start with a little tune from Guys and Dolls:?Luke be a lady tonight-Luke be a lady tonight-Luke, if you've ever been a lady to begin with... Luke be a lady tonight!," the Star Wars legend wrote in his post before adding on the hashtag #Ifeelpretty.

We do have to admit, Luke does look pretty attractive as a woman. Star Wars fans would still probably want to see Luke/Lucy take down the Empire together with Han Solo and Princess Leia.

Of course, Star Wars fans don't really need to see Luke as a Lucy. The Star Wars franchise has been making strides towards diversity and representation the past few years, introducing strong female leads like the sequel trilogy's Rey (Daisy Ridley), Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran), Admiral Holdo (Laura Dern), as well as spinoff characters like Jynn Erso (Felicity Jones), Qi Ra (Emilia Clarke), and Cara Dune (Gina Carano).

The Skywalker saga is available for streaming on Disney+.
