The world is still waiting to get the first trailer for The Mandalorian, which is already expected to premiere this November. Although we're still not sure when the teaser will be dropped, Jon Favreau continues to tease on what fans can expect in the highly anticipated Star Wars series. The Lion King director just shared an awesome new sketch of IG-88 courtesy of Dave Filoni.
Favreau revealed that the first season is currently being scored in the studio. To celebrate the news, he shared Filoni's sketch of the droid bounty hunter. Check it out below.
Although we're still not sure what role IG-88 will play in The Mandalorian, we already know that the droid will be voiced by one of the show's episode directors. Favreau had previously shared an image of Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi recording as IG-88.
So when exactly will the first trailer for The Mandalorian be released? Although fans who attended Star Wars Celebration were lucky enough to see some footage, the rest of the world might need to wait until D23 Expo 2019 in late August.
The synopsis for the series reads as follows:
"After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic."
The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ on November 12.
