Lucasfilm's panel for Star Wars: Episode IX at this year's Star Wars Celebration is finally here, and a lot of the film's cast has been in attendance. Together with director J.J. Abrams are the film's main stars Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), as well as Star Wars newbie Naomi Ackie (Jannah).
During the panel, the film's cast was asked questions about their characters and the role they play in Lucasfilm's third and final Star Wars sequel trilogy installment. Boyega had to tackle questions about the relationships Finn has in the film with the host wondering what was going to happen between the seeming love triangle between Rey, Finn, and Rose. Trying not to give too much away, Boyega laughs and moves on to the potential love triangle between Rey, Finn, and Poe instead.
By the looks of it, Boyega wants us to believe that Finn is officially the biggest playboy in the sequel trilogy, talking about the strange way aliens look at him in the movie. Still, most of Boyega's support goes on to the relationship that Finn and Poe share. The two have been shipped together ever since they met in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and now it looks like Boyega's set on the two getting together. Isaac also confirms the Finn and Poe pairing, saying that Boyega's the only man for him.
Do you think that we'll really get to see a Finn and Poe relationship in the Rise of Skywalker? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20, 2019.
