Star Wars: Episode IX Leak Teases Luke Skywalker's Final Jedi Lesson With Rey

People are probably still wondering what Luke Skywalker's final lesson to Rey was supposed to be in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. A new leak from Star Wars: Episode IX suggests that we might finally find out.

In The Last Jedi, Luke promised his new apprentice three lessons. Unfortunately, he was only able to show her two before Rey left Ahch-To and the Jedi Master passed away peacefully. However, the latest Episode IX leak suggests that Luke will return for the third lesson and it will involve the long-lost green Skywalker lightsaber (via Express).

The leak describes Luke and Rey "on a jungle world" that has "ancient stone steps that lead to some rooms which appear to be a Jedi Temple." It is noted that "Luke appears to be in his physical form as if he is not dead, but he may be a Force ghost and more solid this time" since the Force ghost's signature "blue hue" does not surround him.

"Luke holds his iconic green lightsaber hilt in his hand but not ignited as Rey examines it. This could be one of Luke's lessons to Rey, teaching her how to develop a lightsaber like his own."

Interestingly, the leak's description of Luke's appearance is also new. He reportedly does not have a beard and wears hair shorter than how he looked in Crait. However, he is still wearing "a brown robe with white sleeves."

It's an interesting scene considering that there have been speculations that Episode IX will feature Luke in his full Jedi Master power. Could this mean that he used the Force to teleport himself to a new planet? It is a strange possibility so we still recommend taking this with a grain of salt.

Star Wars: Episode IX has not yet been given an official title. Nevertheless, the sequel is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
