Star Wars Episode IX: Did They Move Kylo Ren's Scar AGAIN?

We don't have any Star Wars Episode IX promos yet, but a standee of Kylo Ren has made it online, and it looks to be a whole new image. What's interesting is, it looks like Episode IX will be moving Kylo's scar again.

In The Force Awakens after Rey's duel with Kylo, we see that she slashed him across the bridge of his nose. They fixed him up for The Last Jedi, but they opted that the scar across his nose was a tad distracting so they moved it to go through his eye. Now an edited look at the standee seems to confirm that the scar has moved more to the side of Kylo's cheek and is in a place almost similar to that of Anakin Skywalker from Revenge of the Sith.

With the production behind Star Wars being very intricate about details, I have a feeling that this is just a case of a wrong edit of the leaked photo; it's also possible that this standee had used an image of Adam Driver in test make-up, so the scar turned out wrong.

I don't know, but if it's a detail that someone on the production has missed, I'm sure everyone is going to be whining about it online. There was just as much backlash when they revealed they moved the scar for The Last Jedi.

Who knows, maybe the old scar is there and this is just a new, darker one. If anything, I thought Kylo would look a lot more brutish and mangled for the third film. Then again, I'm always up for shaking up the formula moving forward.

Catch Star Wars Episode IX in theaters Dec. 20.
