The Star Wars Celebration is set to arrive this April, and the latest updates will surely make fans count the days until the event begins.

Like past conventions, Lucasfilm and Reedpop’s 16th Star Wars Celebration is expected to be packed with exciting announcements about the future of the franchise, special guest appearances, art panels, and more. As the anticipation builds, here’s what you need to know about this highly awaited fan event!

Star Wars Celebration 2025: When Is It Happening?

Get ready to commemorate everything that surrounds the Force, as the Star Wars Celebration is just a month away! This three-day event will take place from April 18 to 20, 2025.

Last year was a quiet one for fans since it was announced during the closing ceremony in 2023 that the next convention would be held this year instead.

Where Is Star Wars Celebration 2025 Taking Place?

In the last Star Wars Celebration, fans gathered at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in London, where they watched trailers for all the series that aired on Disney+ in previous years. They also got a sneak peek at the video games released in 2023 and heard exciting news about upcoming Star Wars films.

This year, the celebration will take place at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba City, Japan. This marks the second time the venue has hosted the event, with the first being in 2008, and also the first time the celebration was held in Asia.

How to Get Tickets for Star Wars Celebration 2025

Unfortunately, tickets for Star Wars Celebration 2025 are currently sold out. This comes as no surprise, with only a month left before the event and many eager to take part in honoring the franchise’s legacy.

For those who have already purchased tickets and are looking to have a photo-op with celebrity guests, it is best to secure tickets for souvenir photos and autographs early to avoid the risk of them selling out.

To access the Lightspeed Lane shops, you can purchase a reservation online starting March 13 at 4:00 PM PDT.

Meanwhile, the lottery system is being replaced with an online queue for those who want to secure a seat at the main panels.

In previous years, attendees who bought a Celebration ticket had a chance to win a reservation for the main panels. Those who won the lottery received a reserved seat and could enter the panel without waiting in line.

This year, Panel Reservations will open on March 25 at 4:00 PM PDT.

The Mandalorian & Grogu

The highly anticipated film The Mandalorian & Grogu takes place after the events of The Mandalorian Season 3. This is undoubtedly one of the most awaited panels, as the movie will be the first Star Wars theatrical release since 2019.

Since it is set to premiere next year, fans are hoping for a new trailer and more details about the cast to be revealed during the panel.

Andor: A Star Wars Story

The second season of Andor: A Star Wars Story is scheduled for release on April 22—just days after the celebration. Because of this, many predict that the panel will feature an exclusive preview of the first few episodes.

Ahsoka

Despite the mixed reactions early on, the renewal of Ahsoka confirms its success. With production on Season 2 beginning this year, fans expect major updates about the series to be shared during the panel.

First Look: Star Wars: Visions Volume 3

Star Wars: Visions is set to premiere on May 4. The “First Look” in the panel’s title suggests that attendees might get an exclusive preview, possibly including early screenings of the first few episodes.

As for potential anniversary panels for Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, nothing has been confirmed. However, many are anticipating something special, given that Episode III celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and Episode VII marks its 10th.
