Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker featured tons of action sequences, including lightsaber duels, chasing scenes, and space battles. Though the film's home release doesn't include deleted scenes, the parts that didn't make it in the final cut are quite intriguing. That said, it seems like one element of the movie got most of its scenes in it.
In a recent interview with ScreenRant, the film's stunt coordinator, Eunice Huthart, revealed that almost all the action scenes made it into the movie. "I've done movies where I'd say 60 percent, 65 percent or 70 percent of our action makes the film," she said. "I'd say on the whole, probably 90 percent of what we shot action-wise made the movie."
It's good to know that director J.J. Abrams left very little on the cutting room floor in terms of the action scenes they shot. After all, the movie mostly had these parts so it makes sense that most of the scenes made it into the final cut.
The content of the remaining 10 percent of those scenes remains unclear, but some fans were disappointed with the actors' interviews prior to the film's release. They teased some scenes which (seems like) didn't even make it in the movie as well, add the fact that there won't be deleted scenes, making it all the more intriguing.
While most of the action sequences were in the movie, actor Greg Grunberg, who plays the role of Snap Wexley, teased in a recent interview that there'll be "huge" things in the home release that fans will really appreciate.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is now available on Digital HD and hits 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 31.
