Squid Game star Wi Ha Joon started his career in 2012 both as an actor and model. After studying at Sungkyul University, he pursued his passing and joined several TV series and movies in the past years.
His first project came in 2012 when he starred in the short film Peace In Them. Wi Ha Joon then continued to be part of larger projects, like 18 Again, Something in the Rain, Romance is a Bonus Book, Gojiam: Haunted Asylum, and Girl Cops.
While he has yet to win in an award ceremony, he recently caught people's eyes when joining Squid Game. A few months after the flick brought him international fame, Wi Ha Joon garnered special recognition from People Magazine.

Wi Ha Joon, The Hot Guy From Squid Game, Is One Of the Sexiest Men On TV
On Wednesday, the staff of the news outlet enumerated all the 25 sexiest men on TV people can watch now. Although they posted it in no particular order, Wi Ha Joon appeared on the first part of the page.
"Squid Game star Wi Ha-jun is totally gorgeous and sweet as dalgona candy," the description says.
Joining them on the list are The Great British Baking Show's Will Parmar, Love Life's William Jackson, Cobra Kai's William Zabka, Grey's Anatomy Scott Speedman, Emily in Paris's Lucas Bravo, Succession's Nicholas Braun, Station 19's Okieriete Onaodowan, and 9-1-1: Lone Star's Brian Michael Smith, among others.

Wi Ha Joon famously plays the role of police officer Hwang Jun-Ho, who is looking for his missing brother in the hit Netflix series. He revealed in an interview that, although his character did not get a lot of screen time, the actor wanted to play his role as he had his own story that could stir people's minds.
Squid Game Season 1 did not give closure on his character's whereabouts, but Wi Ha Joon expressed his desire to be part of Season 2 soon.
Will Wi Ha Joon Appear On Squid Game Season 2?
In an interview with Sports Chosun, Wi Ha Joon spoke about the difficulty of playing the character as most of his scenes were solo.
"I felt a lot of pressure about having to lead each scene by myself. However, I think I was able to complete it because the director and staff members led me well," he said.
Despite that, he still wants to be part of the new season in the hopes of giving closure to Jun Ho and his brother's story.
He shared the same sentiments to Vulture, saying that his personal wish involves his character and brother's relationship after finding out his connection to the Squid Game creator.
Director Hwang Dong-Hyuk has already confirmed Squid Game Season 2, and people can wait for now until the new show is finally available for viewing.
