The first full trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was released three months ago, and with the movie coming out this December, it's high time we get one more trailer to build-up the hype. Good news is, we could be getting it soon, as teased by producer Chris Miller.
Though the movie is teasing a Spider-Verse, we have only seen three different versions of Spider-Man in the trailer—Miles Morales, Peter Parker, and Gwen Stacy. We know that Spider-Man Noir and Spider-Ham are also set to appear in the film, but so far we have no idea what they look like.
Despite the mixed anticipation for the Venom movie, reactions for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse have been mostly positive. Besides the animation style for the movie which looks amazing, the film does something new with the Spider-Man mythos that it actually introduces us to a multiverse of Spider-people. If we're lucky, this could lead to an eventual crossover with Tom Holland's Spider-Man; maybe even the Spider-Men of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
Though a lot are scratching their heads over Sony's decisions to run their SUMC, Spider-Verse seems to be one of the better ideas. In hindsight, maybe they should have launched their franchise with this movie instead of Venom.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens when both movies come out.
Miles Morales comes across the long-dead Peter Parker. This Peter Parker is not from his world though; he's from somewhere else in the multiverse. With Parker's guidance, Miles will become Spider-Man: and through that he will become part of the ever-expanding 'Spider-Verse'.
Catch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse when it hits theaters Dec. 14.
