As Tom Holland is gearing for his grand return to the big screens, fans are already scouring the internet in hopes of Marvel Studios doing Spider-Man: Brand New Day one huge favor: have the Hulk recognize Peter Parker against all odds.

What’s the Big Whoop About the Hulk and Peter Parker’s Anticipated Crossover?

Canonically, in the MCU, Peter Parker and Dr. Bruce Banner have never made any interactions despite being prominent characters on the same team. Not in human form, not in the Big Green form.

However, a comic book from 2020 gave fans hope that Spider-Man: Brand New Day could officiate upon release.

Written by Tom Taylor with artists Jorge Molina and David Curiel, the Immortal Hulk: Great Power comic book shows the Hulk recognizing Peter Parker even though Doctor Strange’s magic erased the entire universe’s memory of him. So, how did that happen?

The scene unfolds when the Hulk couldn’t figure out that Spider-Man was giving him a big hug, and addressed him as Peter. This boggled Peter considering the circumstance. Hulk, however, had one clear statement about that.

“You made everyone forget who you are,” the Hulk said, “Banner forgot. But I don’t forget.”

However, as much as fans want to stay optimistic about unfolding this dynamic, a fan on reddit debunked the probability of that ever happening: and it’s a zero to a million.

The fan brought up the fact that Peter/Spidey never met the raging Hulk, not even in Tony Stark’s funeral, where Banner had taken the consciousness of the beast, “The raging incredible Hulk side of Bruce Banner’s mind never met Spider Man therefore he would have absolutely no reason to remember him.”

What Can Fans Expect from Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

Brand New Day unfolds right after the events of No Way Home. More evidently, when the entire universe does not remember Spider-Man and Peter Parker.

Though there is no official plot yet for the fourth Spidey film, the timeline continues where they last left off: Peter Parker actually unpacking into his dormitory and going to college.

Perhaps to rediscover how he could become a hero all on his own.

As of recent, reports have confirmed that Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner aka Hulk will also be returning to the big screens after 14 years.

This may or may not lead to where fans expect, a crossover between two geniuses, but still, it all sounds promising already.
