Spider-Man 3 Could Introduce Dane DeHaan's Green Goblin Alongside Jamie Foxx's Electro

We already know that Jamie Foxx will reprise his role as Electro in Spider-Man 3. But is it possible that he isn't the only villain from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 who will show up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel? There are speculations that Dane DeHaan is also in negotiations to return as Harry Osborn aka Green Goblin.

The revelation comes from Cosmic which reveals that DeHaan and Kristen Dunst are expected to reprise their roles as Green Goblin from TASM 2 and Mary Jane Watson from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, respectively. Although the tweet does not specify which projects the two actors will appear in, fans immediately rejoiced at the possibility that DeHaan will be reunited with Foxx in Spider-Man 3.

We like the idea of Green Goblin showing up in the Tom Holland film. After all, it could mean that we'll get a better version of the character considering that TASM 2 did our boy dirty by despite the fact that he was played by one of the best actors in the industry. On the other hand, it looks like DeHaan (and Dunst) will be showing up in different movies.

Well, at least he didn't deny DeHaan's return as the younger Osborn. For now, we'll have to wait for an official announcement from Sony about DeHaan's casting. In the meantime, it would be best to take this with a grain of salt.

Spider-Man 3 is expected to begin production later this year and is currently scheduled for release on December 17, 2021.
