WARNING: This article contains spoilers for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
The latest Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is undoubtedly gaining positive reactions from fans. Starring Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, the premiere episode was met with massive enthusiasm from the audience, thanks to Mark Ruffalo's return as the fan-beloved Bruce Banner aka Hulk, who gave the MCU newcomer a walkthrough on how to navigate her new life as the latest gigantic raged hero.
Aside from Jen's comicness, there's no denying that She-Hulk is filled with many surprises, starting from Megan Thee Stallion's surprising cameo down to the Sorcerer Supreme Wong's inclusion and his entanglement with the show's latest sensation, Madisynn. According to Nikki Gonzaga — who plays Walters' best friend Nikki in She-Hulk, more surprising guest stars will appear on the show that might include Hollywood's power couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.
However, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Episode 7 The Retreat seems to be a setback from the audience's rising enthusiasm, as some fans expressed their disappointment with the latest episode, describing it as "boring" and "pointless."
One Twitter user wrote, "It's time to admit that she-hulk is not a very good show. it's watchable and i'll finish the season, but building an entire character around "dating in your 30s in a big city sucks" is simply a boring cliché at this point. she-hulk deserves better."
"Can't lie anymore she-hulk was really fun in the beginning but now the episodes r dragging on and this week's episode was so boring," another Twitter user wrote.
A Twitter user also pointed out that the latest Disney+ series started to feel pointless. The user wrote, "Lately she-hulk is boring me and it makes me so sad, I'm just starting to feel that the last episodes have lost focus and they feel kind of pointless at times," adding: "at first I liked it cause I thought it was going in a certain direction, but now it feels like I don't know anymore what the show is about and nothing feels truly relevant in the middle of situations that are leading the plot nowhere."
Lastly, one Twitter user admitted regret for watching this week's episode, "Just watched the newest episode of she-hulk and I kinda regret that. Didn't bring something new just some boring therapy circle #SheHulk," the user wrote.
The fan reactions towards The Retreat are totally understandable. Compared to the previous episodes that are filled with guest stars and beloved characters like Titania (Jameela Jamil), the episode focused more on Walters as she fully accepts the She-Hulk alter-ego, thanks to Emil Blonsky's (Tim Roth) bizarre Retreat Camp.
After Episode 7's jaw-dropping revelation about Josh's true nature, the show's main antagonist might finally be revealed in the subsequent episodes. For now, let's hope that the next episodes of She-Hulk get back on track and tell the story of how She-Hulk is significant to the expanding world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
