Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings may be a brand new offering from the good folks over at Marvel Studios but in case you haven't figured it out yet, the project plays a huge role in shaping up Phase Four. Not only that, but the highly anticipated film starring Simu Liu also revisits the Marvel Cinematic Universe's past dating back to Phase One and the film that started it all, Iron Man.
Ahead of its release this coming Friday, Marvel Studios released a brand new trailer (you can check it out above) that focuses on Shang-Chi's upbringing and how he was originally trained to be the Ten Rings' greatest weapon. The 0:36 mark of the trailer sees his father Wenwu (played by Tony Leung) looking at multiple screens from his supposed hideout. Interestingly, one of the footage seen on the screen shows the terrorist group's abduction of Tony Stark in the first Iron Man film.
Of course, Stark has been a huge thorn in the Ten Rings' side for years and now that they have resurfaced, it obviously spells trouble for the Starks and everyone that will stand in their way, including Shang-Chi himself.

It's safe to assume that the Ten Rings and the "real" Mandarin have been plotting their revenge against Stark for years but now that he's out of the picture for good, it'll be interesting to see the villainous organization's next move would be. One thing's for sure though, it's not going to be good for our heroes.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings are scheduled to premiere in cinemas this Friday, September 3, 2021.
