The Rhode founder recently made her cover debut on Vogue, which prompted Justin Bieber to recall the time he told her she would "never" make the cut.
"Yo, this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight," Justin's original Instagram caption said (before editing it into a set of 'supportive' emojis), "I told Hails that she would never be on the cover of Vogue. Yikes I know, so mean."
While Hailey never mentioned the incident, anyone could see Justin's "joke" could've cut deep. However, Selena Gomez surprisingly proved Justin wrong.
In a new Instagram post by Sephora, Hailey once more graces the announcement in celebration that Rhode Skin will be sold at Sephora soon.
As Hollywood should take note of, fans are never ones to miss details. In this case, the eagle-eyed fans spotted Selena's subtle support of liking the post, sharing their gushing and awe of being Hailey's secret girl's girl.
"Selena Gomez liked it!!" a fan cheered in the comment section, followed by, "Selena always proving that she's a girls girl!!!"
Despite the Love On singer's wordless action, liking the post is already an above-and-beyond gesture that leans on having Hailey shine in her moment, despite what online trolls had to say about it.
It's also worth mentioning that Selana posted an unrelated Instagram Story with the caption, "You know who you are, and I'm cheering you on."
The Longstanding Beef Between the Two Has Yet to Be Resolved
Hailey and Selena had been rumored to have an ongoing beef, with both sides trading hidden jabs over the years.
Justin married Hailey in September 2018, eight months after breaking up with Selena. And yet somehow, fans were scratching their heads at why Hailey appeared to be making fun of the singer in a since-deleted TikTok in 2023.
In return, Selena and her fiancé, Benny Blanco, seemingly struck back by raining on their parade. In the duo's joint 2025 album, I Said I Love You First, several lyrics may have been disses directed at Justin.
Prior to the key moment, Hailey claimed in a 2022 interview that "It's all respect, it's all love" between her and the Only Murders in the Building star, insisting that there is "no drama personally." They both even posed for a photo together at a 2022 gala to prove the no-beef situation with tangible evidence.
Could this be the start of a blooming friendship between the two? For now, Selena definitely made her move and motive clear.
