New allegations have been added to the list of charges against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs after reports surfaced that he physically abused his employees.
The disgraced music mogul is currently in prison for federal offenses, including sex trafficking, transportation for prostitution, and racketeering, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Faces New “Forced Labor” Allegations
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been accused of abusing his employees, according to a new indictment unveiled by U.S. prosecutors on Thursday.
Combs, who was arrested in September 2024 on multiple charges, now faces additional allegations related to “forced labor.”
The 55-year-old producer is said to have subjected several employees to extreme working conditions, allegedly forcing them to work “long hours with little sleep, through use of, among other things, physical force, psychological harm, financial harm, reputational harm, and/or threats of the same.”
Three unnamed former employees who claim to be victims of Combs have come forward, stating that they were threatened with harm and job loss if they did not comply with his demands.
In addition to his federal charges, Combs faces numerous civil lawsuits from both men and women accusing him of sexual misconduct.
The rapper has not pleaded guilty to the allegations, and his trial is scheduled for May 5, 2025.
Meanwhile, Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, told PEOPLE, “Mr. Combs has said it before and will say it again: he vehemently denies the accusations made by the SDNY.”
He continued, “He looks forward to his day in court when it will become clear that he has never forced anyone to engage in sexual acts against their will.”
The attorney added that many of Combs’ former employees support him and are willing to vouch for the business he built.
The Beginning of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ End, as Told in an HBO Documentary
The rise and fall of Combs is detailed in The Fall of Diddy, which aired in January on HBO Max.
In this four-part docuseries, viewers see the beginnings of the entrepreneur’s life, how his childhood and early involvement in the music industry shaped him into who he is today, and how his arrest on September 16 marked the downfall of his career and reputation.
Numerous individuals who have been part of Combs’ life and career agreed to be interviewed for the show, many of whom claim to have experienced various forms of abuse from him.
Celebrities within his inner circle have also spoken out about these allegations, including former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard, who revealed that she was sexually assaulted by Combs on multiple occasions.
Combs was also accused of hosting “freak offs”—organized events where he allegedly hired prostitutes and distributed drugs to keep partygoers silent. Women were reportedly forced into non-consensual sexual activities after being drugged.
The mogul’s downfall largely began when security footage of his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, being attacked by him was leaked. Her lawsuits ultimately led to his imprisonment.
The makers of The Fall of Diddy told Vanity Fair in February that they are not done documenting Combs’ shocking and controversial story, stating in an interview, “How we shape Diddy’s legacy is a question still to this day.”
