The upcoming San Diego Comic-Con is right around the corner, and fans would want to know which artists the convention center will welcome to the panel. Check out the special guests at the San Diego Comic-Con this 2024 below!

The comic-con will last from Thursday, July 25 up to Sunday, July 28, 2024. Attendees can plan ahead of their agendas for the convention once they see which of their favorite authors and artists they'll get to see live. Here are a few highlights:

Sonic the Hedgehog's Scott Shaw

Scott Shaw is best known for a number of animated TV series, but most prominently for Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog in its early series run.

He has also previously written and drawn underground (Gory Stories, Fear and Laughter) and mainstream comics (Simpsons, Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew!)

You may also recognize his works in comic stripes for Bugs Bunny and Woodsy Owl, graphic novels for Shrek and Annoying Orange, and even cartoon shows like The Completely Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimley and Camp Candy.

Marvel & DC Veterans Klaus Janson, Dave Johnson, & Masaki Sato

Some of the famous artists and writers attending SDCC have contributed works to huge Hollywood franchises such as Marvel and DC.

Klaus Janson has a wide array of penned Marvel Comics, which include The Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men, and for DC adventures like Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and The New Batman Adventures.

The same thing happens to be on Dave Johnson's end, who contributed to Batman Beyond, Justice League, and Ben 10. For Marvel, he was a character designer in the 2010 mini-animated series Black Panther.

Masaki Sato has a more diverse background not only animating for Batman: The Animated Series, but even in the anime world for shows such as Dragon Ball Z, Digimon Adventure, and Slam Dunk, as well as in video games like Biohazard: The Darkside Chronicles, and Street Fighter II.

Disney & DreamWorks Animator Tom Sito

One of Disney's veteran animators, Tom Sito, is an animation historian who is a Professor of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California (USC).

He has been credited for 32 movies under Walt Disney's classic films such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

He has also created storyboards for DreamWorks' Shrek, The Prince of Egypt, Looney Tunes: Back in Action, and 3D Roadrunner shorts.

He was named in the Animation Magazine's list of The 100 Most Important People in Animation in 1998.

Later on, he was awarded by the International Animator's Society (ASIFA/Hollywood) in 2010 for his lifetime service to the animation community.

Harry Potter & Star Wars Artist & Writer Ken Steacy

Ken Steacy is a Canadian comics artist and writer whom you might have heard from the likes of Astro Boy, Marvel, and DC comics, as well as in Star Wars.

He has written several issues for DC's Doom Patrol, Legion of Super-Heroes, Batman, in Marvel's Marvel Fanfare and Star Wars comics, and the Now Comics of issues 1-16 for The Original Astro Boy.

As for Harry Potter, Steacy worked on illustrating the Harry Potter Trading Card Game. In 2009, he was introduced into the Canadian Comic Book Creator Hall of Game.
