Based on a successful shoujo manga by Naoko Takeuchi, Sailor Moon is a shoujo anime by Toei Animation that run in Japan between 1992 and 1997.

The show starts off by following one main character, Usagi Tsukino, a sweet, clumsy, and somewhat lazy middle-schooler who one day encounters a talking cat, Luna.

Usagi receives a brooch that allows her to transform into a magical soldier, Sailor Moon, destined to save earth from the forces of evil. Usagi and Luna gather more girls who become sailor guardians and aid Usagi's mission.

Sailor Moon Season 2, best known as Sailor Moon R, which will concern us here, the sailor warriors are working to stop two aliens from harvesting energy from humans.

But this isn't their only challenge! Usagi and her friends are also threatened by Chibiusa, a young girl who wants the source of the sailor power to save her family from ruin.

Sailor Moon Season 2, also known as Sailor Moon R, has a total of 43 episodes. As the season begins with the non-canon Makai Tree arc, you can skip many of the early episodes.

The Sailor Moon Season 2 fillers you can skip are episodes 47-59, 63-67, 69, 78-80, and 89.

Therefore, the episodes you should watch are 60-61, 68, 72-75, 77, and 82-88.
