Ryan Reynolds Shares Emotional Tweet About the Sony/Disney Spider-Man Split

Fans are still reeling from the Spider-Man partnership between Sony and Disney getting torn apart, with many of us wondering why this would happen after Spider-Man: Far From Home literally made a billion dollars. Reactions have been pretty negative, with many calling out Sony for not wanting to play fair with Disney and Marvel since it was their influence that made Far From Home a big deal.

It's not just us normies who are bummed about the news since Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds also let out a heartbreaking comment after fans reached out to him (for some reason). Many fans have wanted to see Deadpool and Spider-Man interact in the big screen, especially now that Disney owns Fox. However, it looks like we'll only see these two team up in Reynold's heart if his Twitter comments are anything to go by.

While a Deadpool/Spider-Man team-up could still happen in the future, given Disney's need to buy everything they don't own, this is still disappointing news. This isn't to say that all of the Spider-Man movies post-Far From Home are going to suck since Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is still the best film to ever feature the character. Still, we'll miss seeing Tom Holland in the MCU.

This is really sucky news and Reynolds seems to be just as disappointed as most of us fans. While I'm still going to see every Spider-Man film that Sony releases, sorry, Spider-Stan over here, having them ignore all the ongoing craziness from the MCU is going to suck big time. Maybe Deadpool will make us feel better…

Spider-Man: Far From Home is getting re-released later this month.
