Ryan Reynolds recently teased the ongoing mystery regarding why Thor was crying in Deadpool & Wolverine.
One of the highlights of the film for many fans is when one of the screens on the TVA showed an event in the future where Thor was crying over an injured Deadpool. Paradox turned off the footage and didn't explain the context.
Since then, fans have been wondering why Thor was crying and the mystery has become an ongoing joke as they playfully speculate what may have happened that led to the God of Thunder in a dramatic moment with Deadpool.
Ryan Reynolds Claims He Knows Why Thor Was Crying in Deadpool & Wolverine
In his recent post on X, Reynolds addressed the "why Thor was crying" mystery of Deadpool & Wolverine and teased that he finally knows the answer.
"I know why Thor was crying. I can’t unknow it," he wrote in his caption.
This is Reynolds' way of acknowledging the recurring joke among online fans regarding the film since its release, and he has joined the bandwagon while also teasing that he may have the answer.
Obviously, there is no definitive answer regarding why Thor was crying in that brief moment in the film since it was simply just a gag unless they somehow pay it off in the upcoming Avengers movies when they all presumably team up together.
Months ago, Chris Hemsworth addressed his "cameo" in Deadpool & Wolverine and revealed that he was not aware that they would show his footage in the trailer.
He did not specifically shoot a scene for the film. Instead, they used archive footage from Thor: The Dark World.
"I didn't [know]. Am I in there? It's really cool. You kind of forget, and be like, 'Oh, cool! I'm part of the team. They're talking about me, and I'm not in [the movie]. But, I mean, that whole world is really cool to be part of. I think what makes it all look really cool is the interconnected nature of it," the MCU star said.
Deadpool & Wolverine is showing in theaters everywhere.
