Marvel Studios returned to San Diego Comic-Con this year with their Hall H panel to announce major news about its upcoming movie lineup.
Kevin Feige kicked off the event with the reveal of Ryan Gosling joining the MCU as the new Ghost Rider. The actor joined Marvel Studios' president on the stage to announce a solo movie releasing in 2028.

Shawn Levy will direct the upcoming movie, and this will be his second time directing an MCU project, as he was in charge of Deadpool and Wolverine, and his second time working with Gosling, as they worked together on Star Wars: Starfighter.
Feige even mentioned he's seen Starfighter, and according to some people in attendance, he called it "Amazing."
No other details were announced at the panel, which means we will have to wait to know more about the project. Knowing that Levy is busy on the post-production stage of Star Wars: Starfighter, we expect him to start working on the Ghost Rider film as soon as he's done with his project in a galaxy far, far away.
Neither Feige nor Gosling specified which version of the character we'll see this time. When asked whether the actor will play Johnny Blaze or Danny Ketch, Feige said: "I'm gonna let Ryan reveal it when he wants to reveal it."
This will be the third time we see the character in live-action, as Nicholas Cage played Johnny Blaze's version in the 2007 and 2012 films, and Gabriel Luna played the Robbie Reyes version in the show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
