Rumor has it that Adele is in discussions to perform at the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show in February in Santa Clara, California, though she hasn’t been officially booked yet.
One of today’s best-selling music artists, the British icon has yet to grace the field of the annual NFL championship. So, will fans finally get to see Adele perform at the big game?
Will Adele Perform at the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show?

According to Page Six, Adele has been approached to perform at the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show, but no deal has been finalized yet.
This isn’t the first time the English singer-songwriter has been considered for the high-profile gig. In fact, she previously declined an invitation to perform at the game in 2017.
“First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl… I mean, that show is not about music,” she said in 2016. “I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no.”
At the time, however, both the NFL and its sponsor, Pepsi, denied the claim, stating that they hadn’t offered anything to Adele.
“We have had conversations with several artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show,” they said. “However, we have not, at this point, extended a formal offer to Adele or anyone else.”
Aside from Adele, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus are also rumored to perform at next year’s Super Bowl. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell even hinted that Swift could take the stage.
“She is a special, special talent, and obviously she would be welcome at any time,” he said on NBC’s Today.
When pressed by Savannah Guthrie for more details, Goodell added, “I can’t tell you anything about that… It’s a maybe.”
“I’m waiting on my friend Jay-Z to be able to help me… It’s in his hands,” he continued.
For starters, the event’s performers are chosen by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, which partners with the NFL. The performer for the year is usually announced in September.
What’s Next for Adele?

Fans may soon learn of Adele’s story, as the 37-year-old star has signed a multi-million-pound book deal to write a tell-all autobiography detailing her rise to the top.
“Publishers have been desperate to sign Adele to tell her story, but she’s always said no,” a source told The Sun. “Finally, she is ready, and it will be Adele in her own words — beyond the headlines. In addition to covering her rise to fame in music, it will touch on her upbringing and personal life.”
There are also reports of ongoing discussions about her touring the world next year and potentially releasing new music.
Adele last held a world tour in 2017 but had to cancel her final two gigs due to a vocal injury.
“I’d still like to make records, but I’d be fine if I never heard [the applause] again,” she said about the tour. “I’m on tour simply to see everyone who’s been so supportive. I don’t care about money. I’m British, and we don’t have that thing of having to earn more money all the time.”
Nonetheless, she held a record-breaking Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace from 2022 to 2024 and also played a ten-date residency in Munich, Germany, last summer.
With that in mind, it’s not far to expect that fans will see her on the road again soon.
