According to insider JuanEditzs on X, Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple was supposed to appear in the hospital where Peter Parker was admitted after he was accidentally shot by the Punisher.

During the deleted scene, Peter wakes up in his hospital gown while still wearing his Spider-Man mask. He then bumps into Claire, who is looking at an X-ray. They share a short and tender interaction.

However, as we all know, the scene was cut from the final version, and Dawson was nowhere seen in the theatrical version of the film.

The question from fans now is why Dawson's cameo scene was cut from the film. For now, there's no definitive explanation from director Destin Daniel Cretton regarding why he decided to remove her appearance.

However, Dawson did confirm during the Daredevil panel at GalaxyCon, which took place one week before the film's release, that she shot a scene in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and it was cut.

"I even shot a scene in the new Spider-Man movie, but I got cut out," she revealed to the crowd.

So far, it remains unknown whether Dawson's scene will be part of the "deleted scenes" special feature once the film is out on home video.
